What’s on in Sydney these school holidays

With the school holidays just round the corner, it may be time to start planning how to keep your little ones well entertained. Lucky for you, we’ve got you covered. Rain or shine, Sydney is jam-packed with a whole range of activities, and here are a few of our favourites!

For kids who love the outdoors:

Get your kids off the couch and slather on the sunscreen - its time for them to explore the great outdoors.

Treetop Climbing Adventure, $28
From weaving through the Australian bush on a flying fox to balancing on wobbling bridges high up in the air, this activity will be sure to satisfy even the biggest adrenaline junkies.
For ages 3-9, requires no prior knowledge.

Whale Watching Tour, from $90

Orange Blossom Festival
Clear your calendars for the biggest community event of the year. Spanning from 19 August to 25 September, the Orange Blossom Festival will encompass of a huge range of activities. From pop-up markets to open day at Bella Vista Farm, there is sure to be an event that will pique your child’s interest.

Spot On Children’s Festival
Returning for its sixth year, this children’s festival will be packed with lots of film, music and arts. Between sing-a-long events and fantastic gymnastic performances, kids will be able to enjoy free courtyard activities, such as face painting, balloon twisting and giant Jenga. This will definitely be an event worth making the trip down for.

The Spot On Children’s Festival will be held from the 26th to the 29th of September.

For kids who crave a more immersive experience:

Does an hour of activities simply leave your children begging for more? Perhaps consider signing them up for one of the various camps available.

Lego Robotics Camp, $90
If your kid love inventing, this robotics camp should definitely be on your radar. This hands-on workshop will allow them to flex their brain and design their robot using a range of motors and computer programs. Perfect for any child who loves a good challenge. This half-day camp is suitable for children 6-18 years of age.

2-Day Performing Arts Camp, $130
Sign your natural born divas up for a camp they’re sure to love. Whether they excel in acting or singing, your kids will be encouraged to learn fresh skills and unlock newfound talents.
