Just when it feels like the kids have only been at school a short time, school holidays comes around yet again - too quickly for many of us! Most parents are left wondering what school holiday activities they can line up to keep their kids entertained and many parents find this rather stressful - but it really shouldn't cause you any angst!

So we're taking some of the work away from you and giving you some school holiday activity suggestions that are sure to please the whole family! Wondering what to do in the school holidays? Check! Looking for activities that are not only entertaining, but educational? Check! Look no further.

School Holiday Circus & Ninja

Kids aged between 5-15 can take part in our Ninja Warrior school holiday activity two-day multi-sport clinic which is all about developing confidence and learning about team work and respect.  The kids will learn a variety of Ninja skills such as martial arts as well as dodge ball and soccer. They'll develop techniques to overcome any obstacles that come their way as this school holiday workshop builds stamina, agility, endurance and social skills too!
Another great school holiday idea is to take your kids to an Aerial Silks workshop; a three hour journey into the exhilarating world of aerial silks where they'll literally be flying through the air!  This workshop is for kids aged between 5-14 and they'll learn to climb, swing and drop, perform thrilling acrobatic feats, as well as make some new friends.  Each class has a maximum of 18 children so hurry and book before the places are all taken!

Coding Camps

If your kids are interested in technology, you could sign them up for a school holiday activity coding camp in Manly. There's a one day school holiday coding camp for kids aged between 5-16; there's a morning and afternoon session involved. First the kids start with coding/robotics or design and then, later in the day, they switch over so everyone gets a go at everything!  Programming will give the kids confidence to be designers and builders as they use a range of iPad-based activities to create games and apps.

If your teenagers want a more in-depth experience, then sign them up for a school holiday four-day intro to game programming in Ultimo. This camp teaches kids how to program using JavaScript. The camp covers the fundamentals of game design and development - all students will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the course. It's a great way to get an understanding of the many career opportunities available for programmers in the games and interactive and creative industries.

Climbing and Abseiling Activities

This is the ultimate school holiday activity for your dare devil child! What could be better than climbing, abseiling, treetop walking or a zipline tour? The Treetops climbing adventure in West Pennant Hills is for kids aged over three who'll spend half an hour of 'gearing time' and training, followed by 90 minutes of climbing time. No special skills are required apart from a sense of adventure. Kids will love exploring the many different obstacles, such as rope ladders, wobbly bridges, tunnels, cargo-nets and zip lines.
There's also a junior/adult course for those aged over ten which involves harder and higher obstacles. There's an additional 'black course' for those aged 16 and over. Similar courses are run in Abbotsbury, Minmi and Wyong Creek

Barista course

If there's a budding teenage barista in your home then this is the perfect school holiday activity; a barista course! They'll spend just five hours learning a new skill that could lead to a fun job in the near future.  Students will learn how to operate and maintain a coffee machine, set the coffee grinder, make all coffees on the menu, foam the milk correctly and learn basic coffee art, such as love hearts and leaves!
When the course is over, the kids receive two nationally recognised 'Statements of Attainment' which would be a valuable job referral.

School Holiday Memories

Whatever you do with your kids these school holidays, just remember it's about having fun and creating memories together.
