Kids Adventures: Ropes Courses

Published: 20th December 2017

Do your kids have endless amounts of energy? Are you looking for new activities this summer that they’ll love? You need to visit a ropes course, for an action-packed couple of hours, that will challenge (and exhaust) them.

What is a Ropes Course?

A ropes course is an outdoor obstacle course, progressively rising above the ground. The participant is attached by safety harness to the ‘rope’ which guides them along the path of the course. Courses are designed for various age groups, with the higher elements of the course constructed amongst the treetops. As you climb higher, you'll feel like you're tree surfing, followed by a flying fox zipline through the trees.

Who can do a Ropes Course?

Everyone! You don't need any previous experience or special skills to do these courses, they're designed for everyone to enjoy. Every venue is different, but some courses start as young as 3years old! Please check each location for their age and height restrictions.

What do you need to know for the day?

No previous experience is needed to do a ropes course, but there’s a few things you do need;

  • Arrive 15mins early to get waiver forms signed, go to the bathroom etc
  • Closed toe shoes are essential – or you won’t be allowed on the course!
  • Have long hair tied back
  • Wear comfortable clothes
  • Bring insect repellent, the mozzies are out!
  • Come with a great attitude, ready for fun!

What you’ll get out of it

You’ll be surprised at how much you and your kids can actually do, you’ll discover skills you didn’t know you had! It’s a great bonding experience for friends and families, as you challenge yourself through each stage of the course and leave with a sense of accomplishment.

This is an experience they’ll remember and cherish, and after all isn’t that what it’s all about? Here's a link to all of our ropes courses, so you can start planning your next adventure!

Have fun creating wonderful childhood memories!
